A dark skeleton warrior in shiny iron armor with a sword and a shield. Look for the green name floating above its head!

How to beat it
It has a shield, so hits from the front can get blocked. Circle around and hit it from the side!
It's slow, so you can back away and use a bow.
Its hits give you Wither (your hearts turn black). Drink milk to fix it.
🎁 Reward: Sometimes drops Gold Coins (gold nuggets). It only shows up with a Grave Guard patrol now.

Stand with your back to a wall so they can't surround you.
Swing when they jump at you.

Grave Guard Captain

A big armored skeleton captain with a bossbar, leading a patrol of Bone Rattlers. Sometimes a Skeletal Knight marches with them!

How to beat it
Clear the Rattlers first, then focus the Captain.
Everyone within 24 blocks when he falls gets the reward!
🎁 Reward: 3–5 Bone Tokens and a Knight Sigil for everyone nearby. The Sigil opens the Knight door at Boss Night!
💡 Staying safe: events never happen at spawn, inside your claimed land, or in the daytime on the surface. Run 40 blocks away and they lose your trail. Want no events at all? Type /events off.

Only in the Boss Night arena. Gather 2+ friends at a Boss Altar near any Ghost Train station!

The Skeleton King
💀💀💀💀💀
The giant ruler of all skeletons, wearing a golden crown. He only appears in the Boss Night arena. Start a battle by standing on a Boss Altar (one near every Ghost Train station) with 2+ friends (how it works).
3levels: Squire, Knight, Legend
Growsmore players = more hearts
Team2+ adventurers needed
The three levels
Squire (easy): holds a bone. Great for your first fight with the leather kit.
Knight (medium): bigger, carries a stone sword, and is guarded by Soul Pylons.
Legend (hard): huge, carries an iron sword, with tougher pylons and more minions.
His special moves
“Arise, my minions!” He calls Skeletal Minions to help him.
Ring of Fire Smash: if you get too close, he slams the ground and a ring of fire bursts out, throwing everyone nearby into the air. When you see it coming, run!
Bone Arrows: if you stay far away, he shoots arrows at you. Keep moving!
Soul Pylons (Knight and Legend): glowing purple crystals that shield the King. Break them first or your hits won't hurt him much.
Enraged! When he's almost beaten (about a quarter of his health left), he gets angry and fights even harder. Finish him off together!
Team plan
No gear? Borrow a loaner kit in the lobby. Eat a big meal from the Cooking card first for extra healing.
Split up: one or two players fight minions and pylons, the rest fight the King. Don't all stand in one spot!
Stand in the fountain to heal, and drink milk if your hearts turn black.
You have 3 lives and keep your stuff when you fall. Jump back in and help your team!
🎁 Reward: Everyone gets Star Shards ✨ and a treasure bag. Squire gives iron gear, Knight gives diamonds, and Legend can drop enchanted diamond gear, a trident or even an enchanted golden apple!

Skeletal Minion

Small skeletons with wooden swords that the Skeleton King calls to protect him. Look for the dark green name.
