🧾 Quick cooking guide

No Stove here: use a Cooking Pot on a campfire!

Cooking Pot makes the big meals: stews, soups, pasta, fried rice and more. Craft it with brick, wooden shovel, brick (top row), iron ingot, water bucket, iron ingot (middle row) and 3 iron ingots (bottom row).
Heat under the pot: a campfire, soul campfire, fire, magma block or lava. When it's working, the pot's menu says Heated. Some meals also need a bowl to serve.
Cutting Board: place food on it and right-click with a knife to slice it. (Knife = 1 iron ingot above 1 stick.)
Sandwiches, salads and pies are made on a normal crafting table.
Bacon, patties and fried eggs cook in a campfire, furnace or smoker.

🌱 Crops

TomatoesFrom Wild Tomatoes. Break them for tomatoes and seeds.

CabbageFrom Wild Cabbage, often near beaches.

OnionsFrom Wild Onions. Plant the onion itself.

RiceFrom Wild Rice, which only grows at the edge of shallow water in jungles, swamps and mangrove swamps. The nearest jungle is about 430 blocks north of spawn. Plant rice in water one block deep.

Wild Carrots, Potatoes, BeetrootsWild versions of normal crops.

💡 Storage: Make crates (tomato, onion, cabbage, carrot, potato, beetroot), a Rice Bag and Straw Bales to pack your harvest neatly.

🔪 Kitchen tools

KnivesFlint, Iron, Golden, Diamond, Netherite. Cut grass or wheat for Straw, get Ham from pigs, and extra drops.

Cutting BoardPlace food on it and right-click with a knife (or tool) to slice it.

🚫 No Stove or Skillet (yet) The Stove and Skillet from the full Farmer's Delight mod are not in our server's version. Use a campfire under your Cooking Pot instead: it works just as well!

🔧 Problems & FAQ

Where do I find the new seeds?

Break wild crop plants in the wild. Cabbage, onion, tomato, carrot, potato and beetroot can grow in any grassy land (about one patch every few chunks), but only in places nobody had explored before the addon was added, so travel somewhere new! Wild rice only grows by water in jungles and swamps.

My rice won't plant.

It needs water exactly one block deep.

The Cooking Pot won't cook.

It needs heat right under it (a campfire, magma block, fire or lava). The pot menu says Heated when it's working. Some meals need a bowl.

How do I make noodles or pasta?

It takes 4 steps: 1. Craft Wheat Dough: 3 wheat + 1 egg (or a water bucket). 2. Put the dough on a Cutting Board and right-click it with a knife to get Raw Pasta. 3. Put the Raw Pasta and the other ingredients in a Cooking Pot on a campfire. Noodle Soup = raw pasta, fried egg, dried kelp and a porkchop (or bacon). Vegetable Noodles = raw pasta, carrot, brown mushroom, cabbage and one more vegetable. 4. Put a bowl in the pot's bowl slot to serve it.

Where's the Stove?

Our version doesn't have the Stove or Skillet. Put your Cooking Pot on a campfire.

I can't craft the knife.

Put 1 iron ingot directly above 1 stick (flint, gold or diamond work too). Check /nova items for the exact recipe.
